Customised Group Travel
Friends of Sardinia can organise customised vacations for groups of all sizes to include flights, airport transfers, accommodation and activity packages. Here is an example of a current group itinerary which can of course be customised to suit client requirements.
Golfing weekend on the Costa Smeralda
A unique opportunity for a group of friends to visit this famous region to play a few rounds of golf surrounded by beautiful sea and landscapes. Enough free time to explore the coastline and mountainous interiors with traditional Sardinia cuisine and wine to maintain energy levels.
- 3 nights half board at a 4 or 5 star hotel close to Porto Cervo, Costa Smeralda.
- 18 holes at the Pevero golf course, Costa Smeralda and an afternoon cruise.
- 18 holes at a golf club near the Costa Verde and a tour of the interior.
- Optional activities for ‘non-golfing’ partners such as shopping, site-seeing, private boat trips.
Day One
Arrive in Olbia, where you will be met by your private coach which will take you to your accommodation where you can enjoy a welcome drink before a period of relaxation. In the evening some free time to explore Porto Cervo.
Day Two
After breakfast your first green will be at the Pevero Golf Club with a course designed by Robert Trent Jones (18 holes par 72). Mid afternoon takes you on a cruise aboard a schooner to experience the beautiful coastline and islands while enjoying a selection of traditional food and wine. Return to hotel for relaxation and evening dinner.
Day Three
A 90 minute drive across the island from Porto Cervo to the western coast for a round of golf at Is Arenas Golf and Country Club with a course designed by the famous American golf course architects Von Hagge, Smelek and Baril who created an 18 holes par 72 layout in a private pine forest and natural sand dunes. The return journey will take you though the more rugged and isolated interior and remote villagers. Return to the hotel late afternoon for relaxation and an evening of free time.
Day Four
Depending on flight times there may be time for a quick round at Puntaldìa Golf Club (9 holes par 30), just outside Olbia, with its demanding course before the return flight.
